February 8, 2007On my way to work this morning I had to get on it a little to pass a truck going up a hill. Just a minute later I got a CEL and the lightning bolt indicator lit on the dash. Truck continued to run just fine. I was only a couple of minutes away from work so when I got to work I checked and it showed a P2110 code. Can anyone tell me what that code is? Or tell me where I can find a list of codes?

February 8, 2007It means you need a new throttle body -
February 8, 2007It was really cold this morning, about 0 degrees. The truck ran fine on the way home. I think I'll clear the code and see if it happens again before I take it to the dealer.

I am going thru the same problem. I keep getting the P2110 code coming up with the idiot lights too. Sometimes it throws a P2106 and a P2118 along with it. The best temporary solution that I hve found for it is to get it inside someplace warm, I work in EMS so I just bring it in the apparatus bays for a few hours, disconnect the batttery cable to clear the codes and you should be ok til it cools off again. But.. bad news is that you will have to replace the throttle body. Here is the technicial service bulletin on it. http://dodgeram.info/tsb/2005/14-002-05.htm
I called the dealer today and argued that I have the 7/70 and after an hour of that, I have to buy a new throttle body. But its only $184.00 Im going to put it in myself, cant be too hard. The service manual only calls for a half hour of shop time.
February 8, 2007That's an improvement Taco! Get them both for about the price of one.
I was reading it to be more like .3 for the time - or about 18 minutes. In any event, it's not major surgery.
February 8, 2007Ya.. I thought about getting 2 of them right away, but since the '04 isnt acting up yet, im gonna wait. With my luck the price will go up when I have to do that one.
February 8, 2007Thanks for the suggestions Taco. Unfortunately I don't have a garage to park it in. There calling for it to get down to 3 degrees tonight. Hope it starts in the morning. I'm over my warranty so I guess I'll end up paying for a new t/b.
February 8, 2007screw teh factory replace, get ya a good one. Silthlord318 makes em, think www.teh fastman.com as well, although I dont think he dose the hemi if thats what your packin... just a thought
February 8, 2007He started doing one for a Hemi?
February 9, 2007I reset the PCM to clear the code this morning before I started my truck. Truck started OK, let it warm up to operating temp before I left to go to work. Truck ran fine on my way to work. I'm thinking that with my Mopar CAI and me getting on it yesterday I was just sucking in too much cold air. I figure if I don't get on it to hard it should be OK. Just have to wait and see.
February 9, 2007Ram Maniac,
I did the same thing before without any luck. Tonite I replaced the throttle body with the new one. When I took off the old one, it was all iced up on the inside of the throttle plate. There was some oil and dirt too that you may be able to clean if you take off the throttle body. It mayhelp if your not goin to buy a new one. Just an idea..
